ASCOMS to hike salary of resident doctors

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 4: All the resident doctors Association (ARDA) of Acharya, Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) and Hospital, Sidhra reached on an agreement with the management of ASCOMS regarding their core issue of salary hike.
As per their demand of 40% hike in basic in salary issue has finally been settled with a hike from 29% to 33% with effect from April, 2008.
As per release other demands have already been considered like abolition of trail period of resident doctors, longstanding issue of release of night duty allowances, which had not been paid for the last one year and release of annual increments.
Dr. Vikas Jamwal (general secretary) of ARDA said that this agitation was successful because of its genuine demands and solidarity of its members. He thanked all for their support and cooperation.
