| Sahu promises all assistance for promoting Archery | | 4-day Archery tournament concludes | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Leh, Dec 4: Deputy Commissioner, Ajeet Kumar Sahu said that Ladakh has good potential in Archery and every effort is being made to provide all possible opportunity to young Ladakhis to exhibit their gifted talent by providing platforms and equipments. Sahu was addressing on the occasion of final day function of State Level Inter School Archery Tournament here today in which 96 students, including 46 students from Kargil, district participated in the 4-day tournament. Terming it as a satisfying moment, Sahu said that the boys and girls students of both Leh and Kargil districts have natural talents in archery and they have demonstrated tremendously well during the tournament. He said that the best 46 archers from Leh and Kargil shall be participating in the National School Games at Aurangabad Maharashtra to be held shortly and hoped that they would perform well there and bring name and fame for State as a whole and particularly for the Ladakh region. He said that more archery events at National level are scheduled to be held shortly and the district administration has already taken steps to conduct coaching for the Ladakhi archers at Jammu in view of suited climatic condition. |
