FICCI FLO JKL, observes International Yoga Day at Jammu

JAMMU, June 21: As the morning dawn rose, chanting by students of Central Sanskrit University, Jammu led by Prof Sharat Chand Sharma set the mood for a pious and serene Yoga session conducted by Dr. Malvi Gupta, yoga practitioner from Swaraj Yoga institute at the adopted park of FICCI FLO JKL, Green belt Park no. 9, ward # 20.
A large number of members & citizens were seen practicing the Asanas with devotion.
Amongst them were Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan, JMC Commissioner Rahul Yadav, Sujiv Jain, Vijay Saraf, Mukesh Sharma NIS Yoga & Treasurer of J&K Association, Mohini Sharma, Kamlesh Sharma, National Players Aryaveer Singh, Vanshika Arora, Mansi Sharma, Abhay Sharma, Anushka Kaul & Surinder Rajput.
Mohini Sharma gave some invaluable tips on the importance of Yoga to the august gathering and the National Players mesmerized all those present with outstanding postures of Yoga.
The function concluded with an ode to Surya Dev by the traditional salutation of sandalwood water in copper vessels along with Vedic chants of the Surya Namaskar.
Mayor Jammu, Chander Mohan congratulated FICCI FLO JKL Chairperson Kunwarani Ritu Singh and her team and shared his words of wisdom on the subject whilst being felicitated by Kunwarani Ritu Singh with a certificate and holy Tulsi plant. The Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav, on being felicitated deliberated for Yoga to be a part of a daily life practice, whilst congratulating FICCI FLO on their vision for the park. Prof. Sharat Sharma on being felicitated spoke of the importance of Yoga and the revival of Sanskrit as a language whilst congratulating FICCI FLO.
The session was moderated by FICCI FLO's Vice Chairperson Esther William, who spoke eloquently on the subject and gave the vote of thanks whilst Kunwarani Ritu Singh gave away certificates of appreciation along with beautifully potted Tulsi Plants to each of the invitee's.
The event was a grand success, and Chairperson thanked Ruchika Makeover's for their generosity in sponsoring the event and for the upcoming collaborations with FLO and applauded the efforts of the team of FLO who helped execute the event meticulously and Varuna Anand, Esther William, Pooja Gandotra, Mona Saraf, Payal Bhalla, Sona Mehta, Kanupriya Garg, Shipra Aggarwal, Sapna Jain & Ankita Bansal.
