| Panthers vow to rewrite history of Duggar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur, Dec 5: A record gathering over 50,000 Panthers Party activists gathered in famous Public Park at Udhampur today in support of their candidate, Balwant Singh Mankotia who is contesting Assembly election for the second time. Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman of JKNPP accompanied Balwant Singh Mankotia over 20 kms long route from the foothills of the Mata Vaishno Devi to Udhampur followed by thousands of party workers this morning, sky-renting slogans in support of their hero appealing the people for vote Balwant Singh Mankotia, who had won Udhampur Assembly seat by a margin of 11,000 votes defeating both BJP and Congress candidates in 2002. Addressing the unprecedented gathering of the Panthers, Prof. Bhim Singh declared that the Panthers Party shall rewrite the history of the contributions of the Dogras in strengthening the National Integration and promoting brotherhood. Prof. Singh asked Farooq Abdullah to apologize for the crime National Conference has committed for raising communal slogans, "Quit Kashmir" against the Dogras and non-Muslims in 1946 and then conspiring with the Congress to humiliate Maharaja Hari Singh which forced him to quit Jammu and Kashmir in 1949. The JKNPP Chief said the exodus and expulsions of Kashmiri Pundits was a part of ‘Quit Kashmir Movement’. Prof.Singh said that Panthers Party is committed for the liberation of the people of Jammu from criminal, corrupt and communal leaders so that a true secular democratic and peaceful situation is created in the state. He appealed the voters to vote in support of the Panthers Party in the battle of Mahabharta against the Kaurvas ‘NC, Congress and PDP’ who have been exploiting the people and blackmailing the Centre. Balwant Singh Mankotia, President Young Panthers and candidate from Udhampur constituency assured the people that he shall ensure the development of Udhampur so as to bring it on the map of International Tourism. |
