Maternal uncle arrested within hours after killing his nephew

KISHTWAR, June 25: In a shocking incident, maternal uncle identified by the police sources as Fareed Ahmed Sheikh kills his 17 year old nephew Gulzar Ahmed Sheikh at Drabshallla Kishtwar yesterday was arrested by the Kishtwar police team lead by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Syed Abid Shah Bukhari & incharge Police Post Drabshallla Inspector Naseer Ahmed within hours after commenting the crime. As per the official sources, their was a quarrel between two cousin brother viz 9 year old Muzamil Ahmed and the deceased Gulzar over some issue and after coming to know about the quarrel, the accused came at the spot and killed his nephew. Ashfaq Ahmed brother of the deceased told Early Times that his deceased brother and his cousin brother had some verbal duel during the day which came to know to his maternal uncle and who later killed his brother. "When he (Fareed) reach home - he (killer) was pumped by his family members that lead to the murder" said Ashfaq added that his maternal uncle hit his brother multiple times on his head as a result of which he falls on ground. " I watch all this happening in front of me- it happened so quickly that before I could do anything- my brother was down" said Ashfaq. Ashfaq said that he picked up his brother who was lying in pool of blood and shifted him to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. Police after autopsy later shifted the dead body to District Hospital Kishtwar for CAT Scan of the head of the deceased before handed over the dead body to family members for burial. The family members demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits involved in gruesome murder of their family members. Police has also registered the FIR and had started it investigation into the matter.
