Mahila Congress President on intensive campaign

Jammu, Dec 5: Different groups of Mahila Congress workers led by state president Mahila Congress Indu Pawar today addressed series of public meetings in Udhampur and Chenani assembly segments in support of party candidates Brij Mohan Sharma and Krishan Bhagat.
Speaking at series of meetings at Ghordi, Chenani, Latti and others areas, Indu Pawar cautioned the people against those forces that have been raking up emotional issues for getting political support. She asked the people to cast their votes on the basis of performance and reject those forces who have been trying to befool them by raking up some emotional issues.
Highlighting achievements of the Congress led regime in the State, she said that progress and development was possible only under a Congress led government in Jammu and Kashmir. She said that Congress led UPA regime sanctioned huge amount for the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
She listed various schemes started during Congress regime in Jammu and Kashmir and said that lot more needed to be done for this State and only a Congress government can pursue the developmental policies. Asking people to compare performances of other governments in Jammu and Kashmir, she pointed out that all other parties have been demanding votes of the people on emotional issues and only Congress is seeking mandate on developmental plank.
Mahila Congress chief while addressing a meeting at Ghordi said that only Congress can protect the interests of women and weaker sections as policies and programmes of this party were guided by the wishes and aspirations of weaker sections. She specially mentioned various pro-poor programmes launched by the UPA regime.
Indu Pawar said that Jammu and Kashmir has been passing through a crucial juncture and it is high time to strengthen only a secular party like Congress which has base in all the three regions of the State.
