REASI, June 25: Under the insightful directions of Mr. Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Executive Chairman, JKLSA and radiant guidance of R.N. Watal Chairman DLSA Reasi (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Reasi), District Legal Services Authority Reasi today organized the General Lok Adalat in District Reasi.
Three Benches were constituted for settling the referred cases. The Bench No.1 comprised Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi) and Priyanka Mahajan (Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Reasi), the Bench No 2 consisted of Manoj Kumar Parihar, Sub Judge, Katra and Sandeep Sen, Munsiff, Katra, while Bench No. 3 comprised of Mahavir Singh, Munsiff, Mahore and Advocate S.S. Sahni, Tehsil, Mahore.
The matters placed before the Benches included all cases pending in the Courts of District Court Complex, Reasi and appropriate to be settled in the Lok Adalat, All Pre Litigation Cases, Criminal Compoundable Cases, Civil Cases, Matrimonial Cases and Traffic Challans.
A total number of 257 cases were taken up for amicable settlement out of which 224 cases were settled and an amount of 11,05,600 was realized as settlement amount. |
