Chib, Kundal, Micky address election rallies

JAMMU, Dec 5: Convassing for the Congress party candidate Thakur Dass in Ramnagar assembly constituency the senior Congress leader and MLC, R.S. Chib said tht the constituency is far behind as for as development is concerned.
Blaming Panther Party for its anti-people policies, Chib said that Ramnagar constituency have large number of ex-serviceman and the govt. headed by G.N. Azad have taken several measures to improve their conditions, and added it is due to the efforts of this govt. that a Cabinet-Sub Committee was formed to study the conditions of ex-servicemen. However, the recommendations of the committee could not be implemented due to premature fall of the govt. Chib appealed to the people of Ramnagar to vote for Congress so that the people could live in peace and dignity and the reign of terror created by the Panther’s Party is finished.
Arvinder Singh Micky, Dy. Chairman, Legislative Council also addressed the meeting and said that it is the Congress only which can take care of all committees faiths which is the back bone of Indian Democracy.
B.R. Kundal, former minister and a prominent Dalit leader while describing the achievements of Azad govt. said that it is due to the Congress govt. that BRO-294 was amended and weaker sections of the society got 8% reservation instead of 4made reference about Gujjar community and said that Congress have given an adequate representation to them. He appreciated the role of Gujjars while countering the militancy. He made special appeal to the people in general and weaker sections in particular to vote for Congress because their future is safe in the hands of the Congress.
The others who addrewssed the meeting included Thakur Dass, Des Raj, Omparkash, Mushtaq Ahmed, Vijay Manhas, Joginder Kumar, Mohd. Maqbool, Pradeep Kumar, Dharam Pal, Purshotam Lal, Uttam Singh, Ashwani Khajuria and Capt. Arjan Singh.
