| HP CM Dhumal claims to build castle in sky | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5: After touring the remote areas of Gool and Arnas where BJP can merely count votes on fingers, the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Bhumal today delivered the verdict –our party with either form government or play pivotal role in formation of next ruling arrangement in Jammu and Kashmir. In a calculation which even political novices would laugh at, the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister said that “peoples’ verdict is clearly in favour of BJP”. He probably expected BJP to form government in the basis of its press statements which occupy quite a significant space in the media every day. “Formation of new government in the state would not be possible without the support of BJP”, said Dhumal at a press conference here this morning. He did not stop here as he went on to say, “our party would win majority of seats and with the help of independents try and form its own government in the state”. Talking to scribes at the end of the campaign in Reasi and Arnas assembly segments, Prem Kumar Dhumal said that common voter is angry with the congress party in the state. “The mood is against the congress led UPA government across the country as it has failed to prevent big terror strikes”, Dhumal said urging voters to support BJP to ensure national security. Lambasting successive state governments in the state for poor infrastructure development in all spheres of life, HP Chief Minister compared the hilly terrain of Jammu and Kashmir with that of Himachal Pradesh and said the people living in remote areas of the state are living in poor conditions. “There are no roads, health care and power infrastructure is non-existent, water supply is not reaching people on regular basis”. Patting his own back Dhumal said the terrain in Himachal Pradesh is no different yet the remotest villages situated at a height of over 18,000 ft are provided with electric supply, road and secondary school. Shooting two targets with one arrow Dhumal said the Himachal Pradesh made long strides in the field of infrastructure development despite receiving less support from the centre. “Our state was not provided with sufficient funds yet we improved infrastructure facilities for common masses with our own resources”. “Where are funds which were sanctioned by the centre for building infrastructure in the state? He asked. He urged people of Jammu to support BJP if they need better health care, road, power infrastructure besides good education, and jobs for unemployed youth in the state.
