BJP Jammu District launches plastic-free campaign "under Clean India health India"

Jammu, June 28: On Balidaan Divas of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, as a mark of the fortnight program for 3 consecutive days plastic-free campaign drive. Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu District is set to observe under the leadership of President BJP District Jammu Vinay Gupta in the esteem presence of BJP Senior leader and former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta launched the plastic-free campaign "Clean India health India" with a focus on cleaning at Canal adjoining the park in Digiana at Satwari Mandal falls under BJP Jammu District.
Kavinder Gupta while Speaking, on the occasion, emphasised the need to abolish plastic from routine life. He called for the adoption of technology to reduce plastic usage in the city and encouraged citizens to use jute and cloth bags instead of plastic. Gupta made it clear that a ban on plastic could not be successful without cooperation from people, especially shopkeepers and businessmen. Kavinder said in the end that does not use plastic and Prime Minister Modi has said that plastic is the home of maladies and also keeps the rivers, ponds and other water resources clean so that infections can be avoided.
Vinay Gupta explained India has been advocating for the elimination of single-use plastic for a long and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has used several international platforms to emphasise the ban of the product and India was initiating a very large campaign in the direction to make the country a plastic-free nation.
He exhorted startups and experts to find ways to recycle plastic, like using it in building highways and appealed to shopkeepers to have boards in front of their shops.
Vinay proclaimed that Single-use plastics, also referred to as disposable plastics (use and throw items), are commonly used for plastic packaging and include items intended to be used only once, before they are thrown away or recycled. Vinay urged the inhabitants to clean the ponds and other water resources and don't make them dirty. He said "Jal hee Jeevan hai" and fatal diseases can be prevented only when we keep the whole territory around us clean and tidy.
Bharat Bushan Satwari Mandal President, Sat Choudhry, Narinder Gupta Koki, Shalu Gupta, Vinod Sharma, Sangeeta Sharma, Ritika Dhiman, Sanju bhau, Ratan Bhatti, Ashwani Kumar, Meetu Sharma, Poonam, Rajni Gupta, Santosh, Darshna, Vijay Dogra, Suraj Raina, Daler Singh and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion.
