‘Nirvana Diwas’ of Baba Sahib Ambedkar observed

JAMMU, Dec 6: Like other parts of the country the 52nd ‘Nirwana Diwas’ of Bharat Ratna, Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was observed by various organisation today here also.
All India confederation of SC/ST organisation at a function paid glorious tribute to Baba Sahib people from all walks of life participated in the function and garlanded the statue of Baba Sahib at Ambedkar Chowk today. Speakers on the occasion threw today. Speakers on the occasion threw ample light on the life and mission of Dr. Sahib.
J&K Scheduled Caste Employees Forum, while paying tributes to great son of the country demanded creating of ‘Ambedkar Chair’ in the University of Jammu and also introducing of post graduate course on the through of Dr. Ambedkar.
Ambedkar progressive Young Blood Welfare Society in a meeting recalled the contribution of baba Sahib for the country and his efforts in upliftment of downtrodden people of the society.
National Conference Scheduled Case Cell of district Reasi in a meeting chaired by Rampal cautioned the people to be more cautious against the devisive, anti-social and anti-national forces, which are trying to exploit the sentiments of people in the name of caste, religion and region. He re-called the services of great leader for the betterment of poor people.
Bahujan Samaj Party also paid rich tributes to Dr. Bhim Rao Amebdkar, architect of Indian constitution. State general secretary Rajesh Gupta recalled the services of Dr. Ambedkar and said he was the person who gave us right to vote and equality. He also worked hard for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden people.
