| IRCS organizes health checkup programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, DEC 6: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in collaboration with Health and Education Department organized a health checkup programme at Higher Secondary School for Migrants Roopnagar, Nand Public School Lower Roopnagar and Nawdeep Public School Paloura. It is pertinent to mention here that the Red Cross Society has organized 74 such camps in various schools since November 3 wherein about, 12570 children were checked and treated. These teams of doctors constituted by CMO under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr Mandeep K Bhandari. Chief Medical Officers are working with active cooperation of ZEP and ZEPO, are providing medical facilities and free medicines to the needy students. Executive Secretary IRCS informed that such programmes will be carried on till 18th December, 2008 and incase any schools are interested in organizing health checkup programme for their students they may contact District Red Cross Society office or ZEO office on any working day. |
