He was accompanied by Ashok Singh Manhas Corporator Hansraj Manhas, Mohan Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, Kalidas and Madan Lal Sharma. During the campaigning 22 activists of BSP and Congress from Malpur joined the BJP. Welcoming them to the party fold, Bodhi said that BJP alone can ensure political empowerment of Jammu region and people gets their due. Conveying the message of BJP of getting full justice to Jammu region and getting it rid of the hegemony of Kashmiri politicians, Bodhi criticized the former MLAs from the area, Mula Ram who even remaining as Cabinet Minister for a long time, did practically nothing to improve the condition of villages in the area. The area, though being near by Jammu city, remains neglected in respect of development and availability of basic necessities of life, like drinking water supply, all weather roads and uninterrupted power and water supply. |
