| Congress plans ‘Nukad’ meetings | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 8: While expressing satisfaction over the ongoing election campaign, the District Congress Committee (Urban) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Om Chopra decided to intensify the campaigning by organizing more and more ‘Nukad’ meetings and vigorously launching door to door campaigning. The meeting laid stress on reaching out the masses for creating awareness about the policies and programs of the party apart from the tremendous achievements registered in almost all sectors during the short stint of congress rule. Addressing the meeting, Chopra impressed upon the party workers to adequately display the hand bills, posers depicting the splendid performance of the congress led government, besides distributing other publicity material among the general masses. He said that time has come when we should pool our all resources to get the party candidates elected with high margins. The meeting, among was attended by Kirtan Singh, B B Gupta, Nazir Mohammad, Vijay Sethi, M M Handa, Harjeet Singh, Inder Sehgal, Ram Malhotra, Madan Lal, Mewa Ram, Suresh Bargotra and Jagan Nath. |
