| BJP sabotages people on Amarnath agitation: JSM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 8: Continuing his election campaign, Prof. Virender Gupta, President JSM (P) and candidate for the Jammu West constituency today toured Lakkar Mandi, Janipura, Talab Tillo, Ward No.30, Shiv Nagar and Old Rehari areas of his constituency.
While addressing rallies at Shiv Nagar and Rehari, he bashed Bharatiya Janta Party, particularly its Jammu west candidate Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta for sabotaging the unity of the people of Jammu that was formed during the agitation spearheaded by the SAYSS. Prof. Gupta said the Prof. Chaman Lal is making all efforts in cutting his votes and in the process ensuring that neither of them emerges as a winner in the assembly elections. He also accused the BJP and the Congress for misleading the people by raising slogans of forming regional councils and granting provincial autonomy. He added that when these parties and its leaders were in a position to do so, they did not put any serious effort in providing a constitutional or statutory status to these and are now trying to befool people.
Prof.Gupta promised the people of his area and the Jammu region in general, that he shall put in all efforts to address their grievances and shall fight for the cause of Jammu region. However, he again emphasized that the reorganization of J &K state is the only viable solution to all problems of Jammu region and Jammu State Morcha (P) is the only party that is fighting for the cause of a separate Jammu State. |
