| Congress committed for welfare of youth, women: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 8: Decrying BJP and National Conference for misleading the masses, senior Congress leader and contesting candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency, Raman Bhalla, has said that his party was committed for the welfare of women and youth for the over all betterment of state. Addressing various public meetings across his constituency, Bhalla said that apart from spreading education in every nook and corner of state, his party would create employment avenues so that the youth and women of the state could earn bread and butter of their own. “Youth is the back bone of every society and a woman plays a big role in strengthening this backbone for the betterment of society and hence both of them need to be empowered for better future,” he said. He further said that the Congress government gave employment to thousands of educated youth and did everything for the welfare of women folk of the state “The congress government did phenomenally well in the field of development and progress during a short span of time,” he said and added that the unprecedented progress of state was possible only because of veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that it was never an easy job for Azad keeping in view plight of state as a result of mis governance but his party under experienced leadership managed even the difficult situation and achieved that what couldn’t be attained from 1947. Criticizing BJP, NC and PDP, he said that these political forces were only engaging themselves in misleading the people through hollow slogans. |
