HC dismisses petition challenging appointment of 2 ReT guides

Jammu, Dec 8: The petition challenging the appointment of two private respondents as ReT teaching guides was dismissed today as there was no merit in the petition.
Justice Sunil Hali, while dismissing the petition, observed that in the fact of the submission made by the respondent, the grievances of the petitioner need not to be addressed, in as much as those private respondents have not been appointed in Government Middle School, Chingam but in a different school. So far as prayer of the petitioner is concerned, the stand of the respondent is that as the petitioner was lower in merit having secured 37.3% marks, he could not be selected. The respondent further stated that one Farooq Ahmed, who secured 43.6% marks, was appointed. The stand of the respondent is that the petitioner did not make the grade as he was lower in merit as such the petition is dismissed as it has carries no merit. JNF
