BJP wants Govt to abandon Yasin
12/10/2008 12:09:36 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 9: The BJP of J&K unit have objected of giving special treatment to Yassin Malik chairman of JKLF by the state Government.
As per press release, Yasin is detained by police for severe offence, but for BJP it is a matter of great discontent that a person charged for killing innocent citizens of India and for waging war against unity and integrity of the country is being given special treatment instead of treatment at part with other criminals languishing in District and Central Jails of Jammu. It is a matter of great concern that he was provided special aircraft for flying to Delhi for getting a special treatment and yesterday on his return from Delhi too he was straight away taken to Chopra Nursing Home in Govt. Medical College Jammu instead of Jail. It was further shocking that when doctors of G.M.C pronounced him fit and refused his admission into the nursing home, he was once again brought back to the hospital in the afternoon and was made to relax in special air conditioned I.C.U of Govt. Medical College.
An important question still remains unanswered by the administration that how many times in the past the government has acted such swiftly to take care of ordinary criminals and provided them planes from state exchequer to travel to Delhi and vice versa. It is pertinent to mention here that a number of persons got severe injuries during the latest agitation for restoring the pride of nationalistic sentiments over Shree Amarnath Shrine land row.
BJP warns the state administration to immediately retreat from such activities and treat antinational as criminals only and not the state guests.
