12/10/2008 12:16:33 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 9: Cautioning the people to be wary of the NC as it to has failed to deliver whenever it has been in power, Capt Anil Gour JSM (P) candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency reminded the people about NC’s role during the two month long agitation on Amarnath Shrine land row. He said that even the party’s provincial president Kashmir, Dr. Mehboob Beg is on record as having said that the transfer of land to SASB would lead to demographic change in valley forgetting the hospitality and warmth shown by all Jammuites in providing home and shelter to all these leaders during the onset of militancy in 1990.
Addressing several election meetings across Gandhinagar constituency today, he said it was only NC Government which discriminated the Jammu region the most and in this context referred to the Delimitation Bill sealing the fate of Jammu region to perpetual slavery as there can be no increase in Assembly seats till 2031. It was NC again who has tried to pass the Resettlement Bill to allow all the people who went to Pakistan in 1947 to come back to settle in Jammu and claim their lands. This would have ensured loss of all property and livelihood for all those Jammuites who have been allotted the evacuee property.
He reminded the people that this election is a fight against all the wrongs being committed on the Jammu people since the last 61years and assured that JSM (P) is a secular regional party of Jammu region and has now come in the forefront to fight against this injustice and to restore the rights of Jammuites leading to the creation of a separate Jammu State. He urged all to come out and vote in large numbers on December 24 and reject these parties out rightly in the coming elections and send a strong and clear message that now Jammu people do not want to play second fiddle to any one and want a total fulfillment of their desires and aspirations.
