Forest Deptt conducts plantation drive at BSF Sec HQ

RAJOURI, July 23: Nowshera Forest Division conducted a mega plantation drive here at BSF Sec HQ Sunderbani ( 60 BN/130HQ). During the drive, 1000 saplings of different varieties were planted in the premises of Sec HQ of BSF. The drive was graced by D.K. Boora, Inspector General BSF Jammu/Rajouri, SK Singh, DIG/PSO, Mahavir Parsad DIG/Sec/Sunderbani, JK Birdi Commandant Adm, AK Sharma Commandant 69 Bn.
IG BSF, DK Boora said that BSF has planned to plant 3 lakh plants at different location. He also appreciated the role of Forest Department in providing plants and technical know how about the plantation. While speaking Mahavir Parsad DIG/Sec/Sunderbani said that the man and machinery of Forest Department is working very hard to save the green gold. He said that team of Sunderbani Forest Range has worked day and night to counter forest fires. Rakesh Verma Range Forest Officer Sunderbani thanked the authorities of BSF for organizing the mega plantation drive, he said that Forest Department is always ready to conduct such planation drives, he also thanked the whole team of Rangeel Singh BO Sunderbani and Ved Parkash BO Dharamsaal for successful conduct of the plantation drive. He also thanked the kindergartens of Ankur Play Way School BSF sunderbani , the little friends of environment played very active role in the plantation drive. The students of K. V. School Sunderbani with the staff also participated in the plantation drive. The whole programme was conducted under the direct supervision of Vivek Verma IFS Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri.
