Lady beautician among 4 drug peddlers arrested by police

KISHTWAR, July 23: Kishtwar police today claim to have arrested four drug paddlers including a female running a beautician business and recovered drugs from their possession.
As per the details available with Early Times, Police in it's continuous drive against the anti-social elements, detained 4 more notorious drugs smugglers including 01 girl from different locations of Kishtwar District and recovered 12 Gms heroin from their possession.
Police developed a specific information and leads from pervious information and accordingly special Nakas were established at different locations of Kishtwar and arrested 04 drug paddlers and recovered Heroine Like substance weighing about 12gms and arrested them on spot in presence of 1st class magistrate.
The arrested persons as per police were identified as Adil Hussain S/o Abdul Latif R/o Tangawri Semna Colony 2) Mudasir Hussain S/o Ab Latief R/o Tangawri Semna Colony 3) Salman Sajjad Kandoo S/o Sajjad Hussain R/o Umar Mohalla 4) Afia Tabassum D/o Mohd Maqbool R/o Link Road Kishtwar.
Accordingly two FIRs stands registered at PS Kishtwar viz FIR No 178,179/2022 under relevant sections of law. Further investigation of both the cases taken up.
SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt time and again appealed the general public to come forward with any information related to drugs in their neighborhood and share with Kishtwar police on the number 9906154100 added that identity of informant shall be kept under secret.
