EArly Times Report

JAMMU, July 24: DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan said that the BJP Government is committed to provide tapped water, electricity, civic edifice and other amenities to people in every nook and corner of the Union Territory of J&K.
He said this while addressing an impressive gathering after dedicating an upgraded power transformer with capacity 250 KV to the people of Makwal Village at ground zero near the International Border falling in Marh Constituency.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier there was 100 KV transformer installed in the Village but it was the long pending demand of the people to replace the transformer with added capacity and the same was realized today by the DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan. The people of the area expressed satisfaction after replacement of the upgraded power transformer
Later, the DDC Chairman Jammu also listened to the problems of the people living in the vicinity and after giving a deep thought to the issues raised in the meeting the public representative assured time bound resolution of the issues and immediate mitigation of the burning issues. He said that the Centre is quite flexible in sanctioning funds and therefore time is not far when all the basic amenities will be provided at the doorsteps of the people and the need to run towards cities will get eliminated once and for all. He said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme the potable water is reaching every household in the Union Territory.
“The dream of uninterrupted and regulated power supply is also becoming a reality soon with JPDCL working hard, and centre ensuring adequate power generation resources”, Bharat Bhushan said, adding that people by now have understood the difference between the incumbent central government’s good governance and the misrules of successive governments in the past which seldom cared about common masses.
The DDC Chairman said that he is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu district and if anyone has any issue related to civic amenities then he/she should immediately bring the issue in his notice for early redressal.
Others present on the occasion include BDC Chairman Mandal-Phallayian Madan Lal, BJP Mandal Pradhan Nihal Singh, Pooja Panch Panchayat Makwal and Mandal Pradhan SC Morcha.
