Shops around polling booths to remain closed

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 10: In order to avoid any law and order problem at the polling stations, the District Magistrate, Kathua, Ms. Mandeep Kaur, in exercise of the powers vested in her under Section 144 Cr. P. C., has ordered that all the commercial establishments/shops falling within the radius of 200 meters of the polling stations in the district shall remain closed on December 13, 2008.
Meanwhile, the District Election Officer, Kathua has also ordered that the college will remain closed with effect from December 11 to 15 due to security reasons.
