Government GLDM Degree College releases news letter

JAMMU, July 29: Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar released "Quality Reporter" a newsletter to showcase the different initiatives and undertakings of the college. The newsletter was released in a short event presided over by the Principal of College; Dr. Pragya Khanna in the presence of other staff members.
The college through this newsletter envisages strategic planning in the context of finances, budgeting, staffing and academic programming as fundamental to the development and progress of the institution. Further the mission of the college is exhibited as the promotion of quality education, empowerment of women, introduction of innovative courses, to develop all round personality of students and to offer a wide choice of courses in various disciplines at UG level. In terms of institutional core values the college endeavours to take much efforts and interest to empower education on moral and ethical grounds. The issues related to gender sensitization and an eco-friendly environment have also been given due importance. In brief college focuses on the question of cultural and social development, welfare measures for the conducive environment, and opportunities for all according to their ability.
The Principal of the College in her message described that Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar was formed with the vision to work for the excellence in academics as well as to synergize all the constituent units including the stakeholders of the College. As a part of its developing and all-encompassing quality IQAC plays a greater role in congregating the institutional effort for quality assurance of the college. She also described how IQAC periodically reviews the college on quality parameters and improve its quality and efficiency.
The short function was attended by Prof. Sujat Khan Coordinator IQAC, Dr. Davinder Kaur Member Secretary, Prof. Gurdyal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Prof. Parveen Sharma, Prof. Bhavana Jamwal, Dr. Anju Rani, Prof. Kamlesh Bala, Dr. Jyoti Rani, Dr. Sukhdeep Singh Sasan, Prof. Neha Bhagat, Prof. Kiran Thapa, Dr. Chinky Sangral, Dr. Arun Kumar, Prof. Nidhi Jarangal, Dr. Anil Kumar Dogra, Vikram Singh, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Dr. Mukesh Kumar and others.
