| Mayawati: vote BSP to turn J&K into UP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 10: The Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati today asked the people to chose her party if they want Jammu and Kashmir becoming next Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing an impressive election rally at the Parade Grounds here today, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that she has transformed her state into a new world to live in and has same development plans for Jammu and Kashmir.
Aiming high at the national political scene, the BSP chief had her speech mostly focused on her social engineering mode of politics. While she touched upon the pulse of Dalits and oppressed classed and at the same time she pointed out the poor among the upper classed were worst victims in Jammu and Kashmir and only BSP could ameliorate their lot.
She spoke for 25 minutes and out of that she had one word for people of Jammu and Kashmir. She said that if people in Jammu wanted to taste the fruit of development on the pattern of Uttar Pradesh they should vote in favour of BSP candidates.
Maywati counted various achievements of the Government she heads in UP. She said that as a result of all round development the living standard of people in UP had undergone major improvement. She said her positive policy on housing, on the student community, on pensioners and other sections of people had allowed people in UP to lead a comfortable life.
She appealed to people in Jammu and Kashmir to vote for the BSP candidates if they wanted a Government that performs, a Government that cares for the poor and downtrodden. She claimed that whatever level of development she had been able to carry out in UP had not been done by the previous Congress or BJP or Samajwadi Parties .She said vote for the BSP will be vote for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. |
