Traffic Police cracks down on stunt bikers

JAMMU, Aug 2: On the directions of Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma, JKPS, SSP Traffic City Jammu, Traffic Police City Jammu intercepted (03) stunt bikers and challaned them. bearing No. JK06A-6314, JK06A-9278 and JK02CQ-4499 driven by youths who use to post stunts on YouTube Instagram etc and other social media platforms.
The youth in their videos clearly seen making stunts and driving dangerously which posed threat to society and have negative effect on youth.
In this connection, all the 03 bikes were seized under relevant sections of MV Act.
In order to discourage this menace, Traffic Police City Jammu launched special drives and established special nakas to intercept the stunt bikers.
Subsequently, today parents of youth along with violators were called in TPL Jammu for counselling. Parents were also advised to guide their children to avoid such dangerous activities and take interest in education and other aspects of life.
Media persons from various channel were also present at TPL Jammu who interacted with Traffic Police officers on various issues including stunt biking etc.
Raj Pal Singh Addl.SP Traffic City Jammu briefed media persons about steps being taken to curb the menace of stunt biking, rash and dangerous driving.
Dr Koshal Sharma SSP Traffic Jammu, Raj Pal singh Addl. SP Traffic, Neeraj Paddyar DYSP Traffic City Rural Jammu given counselling to youths and advised their parents not to allow their wards for such dangerous activities and aware them of the outcome of such activities.
