In a major success SOG Rajouri Police launched a search operation on the tip of information developed by SSP Rajouri Farooq Ahamed Khan in which huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered in the Hill Taka forest area of Darhal Malkan in district Rajouri here today .The SOG team headed by Dy. SP (Ops) recovered Mortar Gun 60mm 1, Pika Gun 1, Pika Rounds 400, RPG round 1, RPG Booster 1, Anti personal Mines 3, Picka belt, 2, Explosive Russaian 5, Chisese hand grenade 1, IED Driver 2, Detonator 10, Trip wire 1 and UBGL Thrower 1. .
The huge cache of ammunition was displayed in the premises of DPL (District Police Line ) Rajouri before the media persons .
DIG RP Police Range M A Anjum while speaking to the media persons said that had Rajouri police not been in a position to recover all this , it would have resulted into mass human killing , He further said that this recovery is a part of that module in which Hawalla money was recovered under the jurisdiction of police station Nowshara few days back and half a dozen people involved were arrested . Giving details he further said that one of the arrested person namely Choudary Sarwar Ahamed hailing from the Hill Taka of Darhal malkan disclosed this information during investigation .He appreciated the Jawans and officers who succeeded in recovering huge ammunition He further said that It will be pride for police and in favour of public if Rajouri police succeeds in eliminating militancy .
