Massive CASO launched in Kishtwar following inputs of sticky bombs delivery

Kishtwar, Aug 3: Acting on a tip off about the movements of some anti national elements in Kishtwar town planning to deliver consignment of sticky bombs to local OGWs/hybrid militants, Jammu and Kashmir police today afternoon launched a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at bus stand Kishtwar after suspected movement of armed unidentified persons was reported in the area.
As per the details available with Early Times, following the inputs, Kishtwar police team led by Dy. SP Operation Vishal Sharma and SHO Police Station Kishtwar Syed Abid Shah Bukhari along with Army (26 RR), CRPF, SOG team launched a massive search operation in the Bus stand Kishtwar situated in the heart of Kishtwar town.
Talking to Early Times, Senior police officials, police had received the intelligence input with regard to the attempt by the militants to plant a sticky bombs on vehicles parked inside the bus stand Kishtwar,
Police, Army , CRPF jawans immediately cordon off the area and stared searching for the vehicles parked within the bus stand that lasted for more than two hours.
“Some suspected person was reportedly trying to plant the sticky bombs on vehicles- after receiving input, without wasting any time; well coordinated search operation was launched to thwart any such attempt” said senior officials.
The officials said that they also had the inputs of possible delivery of sticky bombs to OGWs/Hybrid militants in Kishtwar District ahead of 76th Independence Day.
“We are on alert and don’t want to compromise or laxity in security- People also need to remain alert and must check their vehicles before sitting inside their own vehicle beside their is also need that people must act as eyes & ears of the police so that Pakistani nefarious design could be thwart” the officials added.
However no arrest has been made when last reports came in.
