| Congress alone capable of providing effective governance: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 11: Accusing Bhartia Janta Party, National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party of raising emotional slogans for political gains, senior congress leader and its contesting candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency, Raman Bhalla has said that congress alone has the capacity of providing responsive governance to the people of state.
The recent victory of party in Delhi, Rajasthan and Mizoram elections proved the fact that Congress party alone had the guts to address the problems of every section of the society.
Recalling the massive developments registered during Azad led government, he said that state witnessed tremendous progress and development in every sector during congress rule and added that his party would continue to serve the society with same zeal and commitment in future as well.
What else than the creation of eight districts, three sub Divisions and twelve Tehsils across the state can prove the spirit of Congress at a time when none of previous dispensations even dared to talk about the implementation of the recommendations of Wazir Commission.
He said that it was his government which allotted twenty two lakh Kanals of land to small and marginal farmers for agricultural purposes under Roshni Act.
“During our rule, every section of society was taken care of,” he said and added that his party would not leave any stone unturned in serving the people for peace, property and development of society.
He said that the divergent statements of NC leaders proved that they were engaged in consolidating their political field by misleading the people on regional or religion cards.
Remembering the development of his constituency, he said that the people of Gandhi Nagar must differentiate the progress of the area during his tenure as MLA with that of his predecessor and decide accordingly for better future.
Meanwhile congress party opened three new election offices across Gandhi Nagar constituency where Raman Bhalla addressed mammoth rallies. He was accorded floral welcome at the venues by his supporters. |
