| Election magistrates meet in Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Dec 11: The District Election Officer (DEO), Kathua, Ms. Mandeep Kaur convened a meeting of Sectoral and Zonal Magistrates as well as police officers to discuss security arrangements for the smooth conduct of polling in the district, here today.
The Election Observer (EO) for Kathua and Hiranagar Assembly constituencies, Mr. Adhar Sinha, who was also present on the occasion, issued instructions to the Sectoral and Zonal Magistrates for timely submission of reports on poll progress and law and order situation of each polling station, name of the polling agents present at the time of mock poll and serial numbers of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He also stressed for checking Presiding Officer’s diary, complaints received on the day of polling, action taken report, sealing of EVMs, etc.
The DEO asked the Sectoral and Zonal Magistrates to report at the concerned dispersal centres tomorrow for their onward journey to the respective destinations. |
