| J&K suffered during coalition regime: Farooq | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Billawar, Dec 11: Asserting that National Conference has a dream for the people of the state, Dr. Farooq Abdullah former Chief Minister and Patron National Conference has said that his party after coming to power will transform the destiny of the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and will usher a new era of development, peace and prosperity in the state which has suffered badly due to the callous and apathetic attitude of the previous Congress-PDP coalition government. Addressing series of public meetings in Jathana Billawar, Basholi and Kathua in support party's candidates, Dr. Farooq said that National Conference has come out with its agenda for governance which is a roadmap for the economic resurgence of the state and will usher an era of unprecedented development in the state and open new avenues of employment. "If given a chance a stable strong National Conference government will take the state to new heights of development", said Dr. Abdullah. He said experiment of the coalition government has failed in Jammu and Kashmir because the coalition partners during their six years of mis-rule paralyzed the state administration and so the need for a stable one party government. "My party is well aware about the increasing demand of employment both by educated and marginal workers", he said adding, that "we have chalked out an employment policy for solving the unemployment problem in the state, which will be implemented in letter and spirit when the party comes to power". He said this will pave a way to eradicate menace of unemployment in the state and will take youth of the state out of hopelessness and despair. Referring to the poor education infrastructure and educational facilities in the areas, Dr. Abdullah promised opening mobile schools for the Gujjars and Bakarwals so that the children in these remote areas get better education and can compete with the best one in the country. Dr. Abdullah said National Conference will strive hard to resolve the issues like electricity crisis, water problem and will provide better educational facilities, health care facilities, infrastructure, road connectivity etc, with which the areas remained deprived off during the six years of coalition rule. |
