Celebrating Rakhi with Mahila Morcha Team reminded them of their home and families very dearly. When the BJP Mohila Morcha members tied the rakhi on the wrists of the BSF personnel, it was an emotional and exhilarating moment for the jawans as well as for the women wing , the jawans, who promised to protect them at all times.
BSF Dy Commander CB Eklure speaking on the occasion thanked their 'sisters' for the thoughtful gesture. This is an emotional moment. We are strangers, yet so many of them came and tied rakhis to us. This feels good," he said.If we are serving the country, there is someone who realised the value of our sacrifice. We do not know these women but their gesture has left us in tears. We will never forget their love. It is forever," he said. He urged the citizens to dedicate themselves for the nation and also called upon the society to uphold the dignity and respect of women in our country.
Ritika Trehan while tying Rakhis, said that this is infact an honour and hour of pride for BJP Mahila Morcha team to celebrate the festival among the brothers deployed at the border. Highlighting the significance of Raksha Bandhan's significance she said that the old tradition of tying Raksha Sutra in the Hindu Culture dates back to the centuries unaccounted and with the passage of time it has gone out of the family bounds and inspired the women folk to tie rakhis to the people who are serving the nation as also protecting their countrymen. She said that the brave Jawans are always ready to lay down their lives for our safety so we also take it as our prime duty to contribute in any possible situation for the forces of our country.
Conveying her wishes to the jawans , Ritika said that they should not have a feeling of being away from their homes and families on this auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan .While applauding the role of security forces, she said that the people sleep at night while these men awake and act as guards, which is highly appreciable task. She said it was a matter of great pride and life time experience for her to be here among the members of security forces, who even on the occasion of festival like Raksha Bandhan, continue to perform their duties on the borders to safeguard their countrymen and enable them to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their families while they themselves are thousands of miles away from their own families. She said this is most memorable Raksha Bandhan festival she has celebrated and enjoyed till date.
The initiative to celebrate the festival of love and bonding between brothers and sisters is being regularly undertaken by our BJP Mahila Morcha team to mark the solidarity with the soldiers who are deployed far away from their families," she said. She also said that the BSF jawans are always on foot for the security, happiness and prosperity of the nation, in the same way a brother is ready to sacrifice himself for the happiness of her sister. She appreciated the role of BSF in serving our motherland and the event was concluded with the dancing and singing the patriotic songs.
