GGM Science College donates national flags

JAMMU, Aug 11: In connection with Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", for encouraging people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India's independence, several events like flags donation and flag hoisting has been organized by NCC cadets and NSS volunteers of GGM Science college under the guidance of worthy principal of the college, Dr. Ravender Tickoo and the supervision of NCC ANO's Dr(Capt.) Anjana Sharma and NSS POs Dr Narinder Kumar along with 50 NCC SW cadets and NSS Volunteers of the college.
More than 50 NCC cadets and NSS volunteers visited the old age home in Amphalla Jammu for the flags donation and hoisting for the inmates in order to symbolize not only an act of personal connection with them and to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of commitment to nation-building.
The NCC cadets and NSS volunteers interacted with the inmates and enquired about the problems faced by them so that they can find out some solutions in the upcoming visits.
Some eatable items were also donated to more than fifty old age inmates. The interaction was also done by ANO Dr.(Capt) Anjana Sharma and Dr Narinedr Kumar NSS PO after the Rastragaan and NCC song. The inmates felt so proud and happy after receiving flags and other items etc. The worthy principal appreciated the ANO, PO, NCC cadets and NSS Volunteers for the success of the event. In the end, formal vote of thanks was given by Dr. (Capt.) Anjana Sharma to the Secretary, old age home Mr Vijay Ji, Mr Pritam and all others present there for their support and cooperation.
