JAMMU, Aug 14: J&K abuzz with patriotic fervour following many events held across erstwhile state following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarion call for Har Ghar Tiranga compaign. This was observed by BJP Mahila Morcha J&K Spokesperson Ritika Trehan while leading Tiranga rally in Jammu. She said patriotic fervour gripped J&K as various organisations held freedom rallies across J&K flying the National Flag high. People especially youth, students and employees took part in these programmes while holding the tri colour in various programmes with a sense of pride.Lakhs of national flags have been flown high by people atop their houses, shops, offices, business and public places, as part of Har Ghar Tiranga. People seen driving their two and four-wheeler vehicles with a national flag flying over it, added Trehan.
Appealing to the people to honour and salute the freedom fighters, martyrs and leaders during this Independence Day, Ritika said people should celebrate the 75th Independence Day with pride.This is the 75th year of Independence for India, our motherland," she said as a mark of respect and as an expression of our unity for all the lakhs of people who suffered untold struggles and miseries, pain and humiliation for all those many thousands of people who sacrificed their lives selflessly for this freedom, for all those freedom fighters, martyrs and leaders, let us honour and salute them with gratitude beyond caste, religion and politics. She further said, "Let us pass on our Indian national flag to our next generation of kids and youngsters to be proudly displayed outside our homes, offices and work places. Let us celebrate the great Indian 75th Independence Day with pride." Ritika urged the people to take a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of India.
