| Hizb module manufacturing car bombs unearthed in J&K | | | Srinagar, Sept 16: Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have unearthed a module of Hizbul Mujahideen, involved in the manufacture of car bombs, with the arrest four militants belonging to the outfit.
The four ultras were responsible for the designing and manufacture of car bombs, like the one recovered from airport road last month, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir S M Sahai told reporters here.
The arrested persons have been identified as Altaf Ahmad Mir alias Mushtaq, self-styled district commander of HM Khrusheed Ahmad Shah alias Khalid, Mohammad Amin Badyari alias Imtiyaz and Shabir Ahmad Shiekh alias Sajjad, he said.
Sahai said investigations have revealed that local militants under the command of Sohail Faisal have been trained to assemble electronic circuitry for use through mobile phones.
The recovery that has been made from members of this outfit include detailed documents showing how to make such circuitry with codes and also an electric chip programmer, the IGP said.
A huge quantity of explosives, including a car, to be used as an IED have been recovered from the valley based on information from the arrested militants, Sahai said.
