Fake currency recovered, one held

Jammu, Dec 11: RS Pura Police has recovered counterfeit currency worth Rs 40,000 and Bhukki weighing four kilograms as they also held the drug peddler engaged in illicit trade.
Police said that a joint team of RS Pura police station and Miran Sahib police station on tip off conducted a raid in the house of one Harnam Singh alias Nima son of Devi Singh a resident of Kotli Bagwan Singh and recovered counterfeited currency worth Rs 40,000 and four kg bhuki from his possession. Two other persons who rushed to the police stations to hush up the matter were also arrersted. They have been identified as Kuldeep Singh son of Nanak Singh resident of Kotli and Mahatama Singh son of Ghulab Singh resident of Kotli Bhagwan Singh. They are being interrogated in Miran Sahib police station to ascertain the truth as to where from the counterfeited currency reached to them and where they have to carry the consignment. More revelation is expected.
