SCCU celebrates ‘Foundation Day’

Udhampur, Aug 21: “Senior Citizens’ Club (Regd) Udhampur” (SCCU) celebrated its foundation today coinciding with ‘National Senior Citizens’ Day’. Add. Supdt. of Police Udhampur Anwar-Ul-Haq (KPS) as chief guest, Tilak Raj TSWO Udhampur as guest of honor and Retired District & Sessions Judge Kartar Singh as a special guest including large number of persons from across the society, Co-members (woman wing), Club’s Branch Presidents and members from Ramnagar, Basantgarh and Chenani, graced the occasion. Third edition of the annual magazine of the Club ‘Aashayein’ was launched on the occasion. Madan Kailoo proprietor ‘Kailoo Emporium Udhampur’ was specially honored by Club by presenting a Memento for his great contribution towards Club. A brief note of activities carried by the club during the previous year was read over by Raj Guru Gen-Secretary of the Club. Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, President of the Club gave a brief about various activities planned by the club especially for the senior citizens during the year 2022-23.
The chief guest and guest of honor were presented a memento and they congratulated the Club and its efforts for dispensing their experience for the betterment of the society. Vice-President of the Club Col (Rtd) Balwant Singh presented vote of thanks.
