Hats off to NIA, SIA
8/21/2022 10:42:55 PM

The investigating agencies i.e. National Investigating Agency (NIA) and State Investigation Agency (SIA) have launched a massive crackdown against the terror operatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
The intensive investigations carried out by both the agencies have broken the back of the terror outfits and have choked their funding channels. The proactive role played by both these agencies has led to the situation in J&K becoming normal. Separatists and their henchmen have been left cash starved due to which they had to close down their shops. There is no one left in the Valley to orchestrate and sponsor street protests and stone pelting by paying Rs 500/ to the miscreants to take the entire Kashmir as hostage.
After August 5, 2019—when the Centre announced its decision to abrogate J&K’s special status and divided it into two Union Territories—the investigating agencies have carried out massive raids to tack the sources of terror funding. Formation of the SIA has turned the crackdown against terror more intense.
Recently a resident of Poonch Abdul Hamid Mir and Delhi-based garment trader Mohammad Yaseen were arrested from the Jammu bus stand and Turkman Gate. Hawala money worth Rs 24 lakh was recovered from them.
Yaseen has reportedly revealed that Hawala money was being routed to India through South Africa and collected in Surat and Mumbai. He ran a garments business in Meena Bazaar and was the Delhi link to send this money to terror operatives in J&K through couriers.
Money coming from South Africa to fund terror activities in J&K has added a new dimension to the terror funding case.
It’s an indication that the terror operatives have changed their bases and channels to fund the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
The terror bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) are somehow trying to keep the pot boiling as they don’t want peace to prevail in J&K. They want terrorism to remain alive and want to somehow keep on fighting the lost proxy war. But their designs are being thwarted as the investigating agencies are working hard to block all the channels and show the terror operatives their right place. Terrorism in J&K is on its last legs as the final assault has already been launched and adversary is all set to face the defeat.
