JAMMU, Aug 22: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS, Jammu Region organized a one day First-Aid Awareness Programme in collaboration with Sector Headquarter, SSB, Jammu for Sashastra Seema Bal personnel at their Headquarters, Jammu on 22nd August, 2022.
The programme was inaugurated by Jatinder Joshi, Second In Command, Sector Headquarter SSB Jammu. The lecture was delivered/ demonstrated by Dr. Aasia Noor, Medical Officer, IRCS Jammu along with Kanchan Devi, Sup. Pharmacist. The trainees were apprised of the various techniques of Disaster Management during Earthquakes, Fires, Floods, First-Aid Kit, wounds, bandages, types of fractures, bleeding emergencies, burns etc. Emergency technique of handling bleeding patient, Fracture/accident victims was also emphasized. Highlights of the programme were how to resuscitate a patient of fainting and Cardiac Arrest. Emphasis was laid on the Management of injuries, fracture, burns, control of bleeding, practical demonstrations of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Choking were done with the active participation and interaction with the SSB personnel.
The awareness programme was fruitfully completed under the guidance and directions of Sat Pal Sharma, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region. |
