8/23/2022 10:38:08 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 23: All Jammu based reserved category employees serving in different departments of Kashmir Division have reiterated appeal to the LG led administration regarding salary related issues of various employees whose salaries are withheld for past 1 or 2 months. The employees have many financial obligations to fulfill in the shape of loan installments, EMI's, medical treatment of their dependents etc. Several employees have only one earning hand in their family. The situation in the Kashmir valley is still not conducive for the employees to resume their duties at their respective place of postings in Kashmir Division as various incidents of non-locals being targeted are still happening.
On the other hand, employees are being forced to resume their duties by way of issuing various orders regarding resumption of duties and withheld of salaries. Adamant behaviour is being adopted by some of the DDO's regarding the salary issues of employees which is not justified in view of the prevailing situation which is not conducive for safety and security of the lives of the non-local Jammu Based Employees serving in Kashmir Division.
There is a dire need to see the issue of the withheld salaries of the Jammu based employees holistically at the macro level and an order regarding the release of salaries at the divisional level would bring a much relief to the employees.
All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association, Kashmir would like to make an appeal to the LG led administration to take a cognizance of the salary related issues of the Jammu based employees and issue an order regarding the release of the withheld salaries at the earliest for the sake of employees and their dependent family members.
It is pertinent to mention here that the protest of All Jammu based employees serving in Kashmir Division commenced on 1st of June, 2022 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu, the day after the targeted killing of Martyr Rajni Bala Ji who was serving as serving as a teacher in Kulgam District of Kashmir Division.
