| 120 schools participate in science exhibition | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, DECEMBER 12 – The two day 24th Science Exhibition, organised by the District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET), Jammu, commenced here today.
The students of 120 schools of Jammu district are displaying their scientific temper and talent through display of models. The theme of the exhibition is ‘science and technology for global sustainability’.
The Director School Education, Jammu, Mrs. Zahida Khan inaugurated the exhibition at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastrinagar. She inspected the models displayed by the students and appreciated their scientific skills.
Speaking on the occasion, she impressed upon the students to develop scientific temper for progress and prosperity of the country in the present era of science and technology. She interacted with students and teachers and eulogised the level of awareness among the students, especially about the role of science and technology in sustainable development as displayed by them through the models put up in the exhibition.
The Principal, DIET, Mr. Virender Kumar Sharma and faculty members were also pres t on the occasion.
