| Communal politics dangerous: Bhalla | | | EarlY Times Report
Jammu, Dec12- Stating that his party would strengthen the roots of age old composite culture of state, Congress leader and its contesting candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency has accused BJP, NC and PDP of raising emotional slogans, which according to him, could well prove dangerous for the unity and integrity of the state.
Addressing series of public meetings across his constituency, Bhalla said that the leaders of Bhartia Janta Party, National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party were making every effort in dividing the communities of Jammu and Kashmir on communal lines for their political interests.
“The leaders of these political parties intensify their communal tactic when the elections for state Legislative Assembly or Parliament are on cards,” he said and added that BJP, NC and PDP tried to create vicious communal venom across the state which had the potential of dividing the state on communal and regional lines.
He further said that it was the Congress which proved itself at such a critical juncture and saved the state from any division on communal basis.
He said that for the parties like BJP, NC and PDP, playing of communal card for political gains is a habit and they have been doing it all along their career to remain in the political race.
“They are such a weak lot of politicians that they play religious cards in gaining support of the people,” he said and added that such tactics proves the incapability of these politicians in gaining the public support through commitment towards the service of people.
He said that his party would never allow the communal forces to succeed and would make an every endeavor to strengthen the roots of composite culture of the state.
He said that while the leaders of BJP, NC and PDP were engaged in gaining limelight through communal tactics, his party under the efficient guidance of Azad was making every effort in developing the state.
Bhalla addressed public rallies at Nanak Nagar, Nai Basti, Digiana Camp, Sanjay Nagar, Garigarh, Friends Colony, Bagh-e- Bahu and also conducted door to door campaigning at these places.
