12/13/2008 12:17:55 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12- Assuring to continue struggle for undoing injustices done to Jammu during all these years by the leaders of the Congress to appease the communal sentiments of the National Conference and PDP, the former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has alleged that at the behest of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah, the Congress leadership had not only forced late Maharaja Hari Singh to live in exile at Mumbai till his death but also attempted to change the nomenclature of this State by eliminating the word of Jammu by retaining only Kashmir when the Constitution of the country was being framed.

He said it was only after over 50 years that during the BJP led NDA rule the Indian Constitution was amended to include Dogri language in the 8th Schedule, he added and congratulated the people of Jammu today on the celebration of Dogri recognition Day and hoped this important language of the country would touch new heights in compiling its literature amongst other regional language of the country.
