DEHRADUN, Aug 28: Country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav of 75 years of independence. Mahatma Gandhi along with many freedom fighters played an important role in the freedom of India. Gandhian philosophy is not only relevant in India but many foreigners are following the Gandhian philosophy. One of them is Agus Indra Udayan of Bali, Indonesia. He is a world renowned social worker who has been awarded by many government and non-government organisations. Considering his outstanding social work, President of India conferred upon him with Padma Shri in 2020.
The founder of Sanjay Orthopaedic, Spine and Maternity Centre Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay who has also been conferred with Padma Shri along with him. Padma Shri Agus Indra Udayan was visiting to India hence Dr. Sanjay invited him for the exchange of ideas among citizens of the city. All citizens of Dehradun welcomed and appreciated the efforts of Padma Shri Indra Udayana. The chief guest gave the message to society to follow simple life as Gandhi did and sang the dearest song of Gandhi ji Vaishnav jan. All guest sang the song along with him. Padam Shri orthopaedic surgeon Dr BKS Sanjay expressed his gratitude to all guest with reciting his poem from his newly released book Uphar Sandesh Ka. The program was presided by Padam Shri Leeladhar Jagudhi and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Gaurav Sanjay. The program was well appreciated by all.
