8/29/2022 10:31:56 PM

EArly Times report

Jammu, Aug 29: Rattan Lal Gupta, senior National Conference (NC) leader and Provincial President Jammu, while terming the incumbent Govt at the Centre and the J&K Administration as ‘Jumla Sarkars’, said that people hear only their tall claims while no development is visible on ground.
He stated this during a programme held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan where he felicitated the office bearers of newly constituted body of National Conference District Doda Rural Unit ( Bhaderwah – Gandoh, Bhalessa) here today.
The office bearers of District Doda Rural National Conference Unit (Bhaderwah – Gandoh, Bhalessa) during their interaction with the NC Provincial President apprised him that despite J&K Administration’s tall claims no developmental activity has taken place on ground the rural belt of Doda District. They lamented that people are craving for basic amenities while the dilapidated condition of roads has made the miseries of the people in the area multiply. Moreover, education and health sectors are totally in shambles presenting a highly dismal scenario, they alleged. They asserted that no one in the administration is ready to hear to their woes and miserable plight as a result of which the common people of the region feel the heat of official apathy of the highest degree never ever experienced before.
After giving a keen and patient hearing to the newly elected office bearers of District Doda Rural National Conference Unit, Rattan Lal Gupta said that it is very unfortunate that the people of Jammu and Kashmir in general and those of Doda’s rural region are passing through a very tough phase as they have fallen victim to the official apathy that is dominating the system post Article 370 Abrogation. He flayed the BJP Govt at the Centre and the J&K Administration for making hollow claims of development across Jammu and Kashmir. He said that such claims made for mere publicity hold no good and people alone are the best judges to testify the claims of development made by the Govt. The Provincial President said that people have realized that the incumbent Govt is just a ‘Jumla Sarkar’ and incapable of addressing the people’s basic day to day issues not to talk of the complex issues. He asserted that only a popular government elected by the people through democratically held elections can do justice with the people of rural and far off areas as the representatives elected by the people are fully aware of their issues and can address the same as per their aspirations.
Meanwhile, he asked the newly elected body members to make relentless efforts in the direction of strengthening the party base at grass roots level by remaining present among the people who are the worst victims of official apathy and addressing their issues by taking up the same with concerned authorities if required.
Among those who were present in the programme include: Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary Jammu, Mehboob Iqbal Constituency Incharge Bhaderwah, Mohd Iqbal Bhat Ex-MLC, Vijay Lochan P.P SC Cell, Abdul Gani Teli P.P OBC Cell, Dr. Shahid Mughal, Abdul Qayoom Bagwan District President Doda Rural, Ch.
