JKTJAC deputation meets DSEJ, projects issues of teachers

JAMMU, Sept 1: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers'Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) led by its UT President Vinod Sharma, today on 1st September 2022 met Director School Education Jammu Dr. Ravi Shanker Sharma in his office chamber regarding the genuine issues of the teachers.
While interacting with the DSEJ Sharma discussed in detail the various burning issues of the teachers and sought their resolution at the earliest. The issues raised included:
Conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III as same hasn't been done in last 6 months and teachers suffering badly,
Regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in the directorate for a long time as teachers are not getting their due salary,
Framing of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme as they have been working in the same schools for last more than 20 years,
Implementation of Honourable CAT directions regarding impugned order of repatriation of regularised ReTs as some CEOs haven't yet done the same,
Resumption of Mutual transfers of Teachers Grade II/III/RRETs as many such files are lying in directorate for a long time,
Initiation of process of mutual transfers of 3rd teachers/ RRETs under order No. 635/ RRETs appointed under clear vacancy with teachers Grade II/III,
DPC of teachers as same hasn't been done since 2014,
Rationalisation of teaching staff to overcome the shortage of the teachers in rural areas and
Provision of earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/winter vacation.
Worthy DSEJ gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to resolve all the issues raised by JKTJAC leadership at the earliest.
