| Educational tour of LoC children flagged off | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 13- ‘AKANSHA’, an educational tour of 33 school children from the remote villages along the Line of control in Nowshera district was flagged off by General Officer Commanding, Dah Division at Nowshera today. The 10-day educational tour to Kolkata and Tatanagar is being undertaken by Dashmesh Battalion under the aegis of Dah Brigade. The educational tour aims to instill a sense of awareness and national integration amongst the children and provide them an exposure to the development and way of life in other parts of the country.
The participants were extremely enthusiastic and excited about the tour being the maidain one outside the state.
General Officer Commanding speaking on the occasion urged the students to enjoy the trip and later share their experiences with their fellow classmates on return. He also highlighted the importance of Sadbhavana programs undertaken by the Army in the area and assured that Army would continue with development and empowerment programs in future also. |
