NC only option for restoration of statehood to J&K: Dr Vikas
9/4/2022 11:17:10 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 4: Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Secretary Central Zone, J&K National Conference ( JKNC), Dr Vikas Sharma lambasted the BJP led Centre Govt for making the lives of youth miserable with its senseless and directionless policies.
While interacting with youth at Rehari Colony, Rajpura, Dr Vikas Sharma said that Centre downgraded the status of J&K from State to Union Territory and also abrogated its special status owing to which all state subjects were exposed to tremendous amount of hardships.
He said that J&K suffered immensely due to misadventures of the Centre. Post abrogation of statehood people here were suffering due to rising unemployment, inflation and discrimination.
He mentioned that during the Janab Omar Abdullah led NC government, jobs were provided to large number of youth, RTI Act was enacted to eradicate corruption and several other revolutionary steps were taken to push J&K on the path of development. He expressed that NC will bring back the golden era for people of J&K.
He reiterated the party’s stand with respect to restoration of statehood with full powers to address the aspirations of people. Dr Sharma mentioned that people have suffered a lot during the last three years especially after the abrogation of Article 370, bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that NC is fighting and will continue its fight till restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Sharma urged the youth to come together on a single platform to push for this demand. National Conference would leave no stone unturned to achieve statehood for J&K.
Dr Vikas cautioned the youth against the divisive agenda of BJP and urged them to stay united to defeat their agenda. He also urged the youth to support and strengthen NC in the forthcoming Assembly election.
Dr Vikas Sharma further said that we have standing instructions from our party President Dr Farooq Abdhulla to keep in constant touch with the people at the grass root level and take note of their problems for appropriate solution and timely disposal.
