Jammu Dec 13- The election campaign of Congress candidate from Jammu East constituency, Nariender Singh Jamwal (Raju), a former Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, has lately picked up. A score of party leaders at the middle rung and activists have intensified door to door campaign in favour of Nariender Singh, seeking votes for the Congress candidate.
Prominent among those conducting election campaign for Nariender Singh included, S P Verma, a social activists associated with All India Rachanatamik Samaj, Vinod Sharma General Secretary PCC, Krishan Lal Gupta Secretary PCC, Vaishno Dogra President Backward Classes Cell of the Congress party, Nazeer Khan General Secretary OBC Cell of the party, Ashwani Puri, Vijender K Sharma Rahul Gupta, Mahinder Kumar Panotra District Jammu Congress Geneneral Secretary, Prithvi Kohli, Kuldeep Mehta, Chander Prakash Verma, Pawan Dev Singh, Rajinder Mehra Block President, Abhimanyu Salathia and Bupinder Singh Jamwal.
Nariender Singh Jamwal today inaugurated three election offices, one each at Mohalla Paharia, Sant Ahata lower Gumat and Afghan Mohalla near Dewan Mandir.
The speakers described Nariender as an honest and upright politician, having unflinching record of service to the masses. They also appreciated his role as Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation for one term, when he undertook various developmental works in the city.
Speaking in the meetings, Nariender Singh, who remains low profiled but practical in his approach, asked the people to evaluate him on the bases of his performance as member Jammu Municipal Corporation and Mayor Jammu city for one term. He said that he does not believe in promises, but believes in actions. |
