| Court rejects bail in attempt to murder case | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 12: Munisff Jammu Urvashi Raina today rejected the bail application of one Harish Singh who was involved in attempt to murder case.
While rejecting he bail Munsiff Jammu Urvashi Raina observed that after perusal of the CD file wherein it is seen that the investigation of the case is at the infancy stage as the victim namely Nitesh Kumar is admitted in Amritsar Hospital and another victim namely Happy Singh has been discharged recently, however, he is not in a condition to record his statement as his face has been distorted due to the injuries received by him. The statement of victim namely Harish Khullar has been recorded under Section 161 CrPC wherein he has mentioned the names of 6 accused persons including the applicant herein. The accused namely Harish Singh (applicant herein) and another namely Amit Kumar have been arrested and the remaining four accused persons are still absconding and evading their arrest. The Investigating Officer, who was present in the court, has also stated that the investigation is at the infancy stage as the accused persons are still absconding and the victim namely Nitish Kumar is yet to be discharged from the hospital whose condition is still serious.
Court further observed that investigation is at the infancy stage and one of the victims is still under treatment at a Hospital at Amritsar, there are sufficient and reasonable grounds for detention of the accused at this stage. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. —JNF |
